McLaren's Lando Norris Claims Debut F1 World Championship in Yas Marina In Spite Of Max Verstappen's Grand Prix Triumph.

Diverging Fates
While Norris became the first Briton to win the title since Lewis Hamilton in 2020, the contrast in form between the two was stark. While the new generation fought for the title, Hamilton, the veteran, could manage only eighth place in Abu Dhabi, a disappointing ending to a difficult season with Ferrari.
His first season with the Scuderia had been greeted with excitement but has yielded what was comfortably his worst season ever, finishing sixth in the championship without a podium. He has looked jaded in the final rounds and will look to rebuild over the winter.
