Ex- Doctor Accused of Assault Charges Against 38 Patients
Legal authorities have stated that a ex- physician has been charged with committing sexual assaults against 38 victims who were under his care.
The Grave Charges
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous sexual offences – including acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
One senior CPS official said, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a thorough and intricate investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
Scope of the Investigation
The charges follow what police called a “detailed inquiry” into alleged sexual offences at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

The charging documents outline the 45 charges comprise:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- 1 count of attempting to assault by penetration.
